Lithium CR2032 2032 Coin Cell Watch Batteries Bulk Pack Review

Lithium CR2032 2032 Coin Cell Watch Batteries Bulk Pack
Average Reviews:

These batteries did not work. I tried to figure out a way to contact the seller but the information gave conflicting directions. So for the $5.00 it cost it wasn't worth the bother. From now on I will buy my batteries from a local seller. I will pay more but at least if I have a problem it will be more convenient to handle. I guess the old axiom "you get what you pay for" is true.

These disc batteries are a type found in tealights and similar lights. You would think they would be easy to find in the stores, but after several trips to a variety of places they were either sold out or not carried. With Christmas coming up, have bought a few. No problem with them. Candles are burning brightly.

Be warned that you will not get the Ultra brand of Duracell. If you go to their website (Duracell) you will readily see that the standard Coppertop are inferior to the Ultra type. The standard Duracell AAA batteries are model MN2400 whereas the Ultra are model number MX2400.

Rayovac Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, AA-size, 8-count Carded Pack Review

Rayovac Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, AA-size, 8-count Carded Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The latest family of Rayovac rechargeable NiMH batteries are all missing one thing: the capacity rating. Previously, you can see the charge capacity (such as '2500mAh') marked on every package and also on each cell. But newer Rayovac rechargeable NiMH cells are just grouped into three classes ('Everyday-Use', 'High-Energy' and 'Hybrid'), with vague claims such as 'Up to 275 photos' printed on their packages.
Of course, those claims make very little sense to us, because Rayovac never tell us which camera was used, and under what test conditions were those photos taken.
After a lot of searching, I was able to find the spec sheet for those cells from rayovacindustrial dot com:
- NM715-4OP 'Everyday-Use' AA, 'Up to 275 photos': capacity=1400mAh
- NM715-4B 'High-Energy' AA, 'Up to 375 photos': capacity=1900mAh
- LD715-4A 'Hybrid' AA, 'Up to 400 photos': capacity=2100mAh
The item offered here is the NM715-8OP (the 'OP' stands for 'Opening Product'). It has the LOWEST capacity amoung all Rayovac NiMH batteries. I have tested some in my La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger, and the average capacity is actually higher than spec at 1500mAh. But this number is still very low by today's standard for NiMH AA cells. So although the price looks attractive, this is just not a good value.
As of this writing, this 8-pack (NM715-8OP) is actually priced higher than two 4-pack (NM715-4OP). Furthermore, the Rayovac 4.0 AA 4-PACK is available at even lower cost. Those are low-self-discharge cells with higher capacity of 2100mAh. So it is a no-brainer which package you should buy.
[Update on July 16, 2010]
I recently discovered a hidden benefit of those Rayovac 'Opening Product' AA cells: they are exactly the same size as alkaline AA cells, while other NiMH cells with capacity 2000mAh or over are all slightly thicker. So for some appliances with extremely tight battery compartment (such as the Rayovac Sportsman Xtreme 1W LED Flashlight), those are the only rechargeable cells I can use.
[Update Sep 4, 2010]
As if the offerings above is not confusing enough, Rayovac has now discontinued the 'Hybrid' series, and replaced it with another two types:
- LD715-4OP 'Pre-Charged': capacity=1400mAh
- PL715-4 'Platinum Pre-Charged': capacity=2100mAh

Duracell CEF15NC 15 minute Battery Charger Review

Duracell CEF15NC 15 minute Battery Charger
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Duracell 15 Minute Battery Charger has 4 channels (or battery slots) for charging 4 AA / AAA batteries.
Charge Time
-----------
- The battery charger works as advertised; it fully charges NiMH rechargeable batteries in about 15 minutes. Charge times can be longer for batteries that are higher in capacity than the ones that come with the charger (2500 mAH). For example, it sometimes takes up to 20 minutes to charge my 2650 mAH AA Duracell batteries.LED Light
---------
- The LED light can indicate one of three charge status:
1) Off ......... Charge is complete for all channels
2) On ......... Charging is in progress on at least one channel
3) Blinking ... 1 or more batteries are bad
Unlike some battery chargers (such as the Energizer 15 Minute Charger), it doesn' have 4 independent LED lights to indicate charge status for each of the channels. There's, therefore, no way to know WHICH channel has completed its charge and WHICH channel has a bad battery.Bad Battery Woes
----------------
If the Charger detects a bad/damaged battery (indicated by its blinking LED light), it will refuse to charge the battery.
This charger used to frequently reject batteries that I had used only a few times (money down the drain). I had to keep buying new batteries -- and that was very annoying!
At first, I thought maybe this charger was actually ruining my batteries! But I managed to finally catch on to what was happening: my camera was the culprit!
The reason: on many camera's and other high-drain devices, batteries can be over-discharged and can go through a phenomenon known as "polarity reversal." Many devices have a built-in mechanism to detect when batteries reach a "cut-off" voltage (or more properly termed, the end-of-discharge voltage), and shuts down automatically before damage can occur. Many devices, however, do not have such a mechanism.
Now, I'm careful to not over-discharge my rechargeable batteries - I have never had a bad battery in a long time. Conclusion
----------
The Duracell 15 Minute Battery Charger works flawlessly. My only complaint is that it doesn't have 4 independent LED lights to indicate charge status for each of the channels.

Duracell Coppertop AA Cell Alkaline Batteries in Reclosable Storage 12 Pack Review

Duracell Coppertop AA Cell Alkaline Batteries in Reclosable Storage 12 Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Duracell makes great batteries; and these batteries will show you just how good they are made once you try them. The "CopperTop" version of these AA size batteries really lasts noticeably longer than the AA batteries Duracell used to make. I really like this because I often travel by public transportation and I use my portable CD player to listen to music. I always get several hours more use out of these CopperTop Duracell AA batteries; and that's grand!
Believe it or not, the reclosable storage pack actually does close neat and clean for you so that the batteries remaining inside the package don't get dusty or exposure to any elements if you're outside camping or something.
The 12 pack offers value, too; and that's important in these expensive times!
Use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!
Do NOT dispose of these or ever place these in or near a fire. They could literally explode. I wouldn't carry them loose either--they should be protected in their cardboard case or they should be already installed in your portable CD player, your flashlight or whatever device you placed them into.
Overall, these Duracell CopperTop AA size batteries are the ones to choose if you need AA size batteries. I highly recommend them for any device that needs AA size batteries.

Ordered from cybermansez due to high feed back rating. Batteries received were not Sony or any other regonizable brand name. "Equivalent" would have been another brand name of simular standing not a no name brand of unknown type or quality. Very disappointed. This is an unsual type of battery. It's a A23. I don't find many uses for this kind of battery, but they are very reliable and cost effective for what i am using them. At work we need it for a doorbell and so far they have lasted a long time. The doorbell gets open a lot and for the price you could not have gotten ones for the same price locally.

Bower XPB430 AA Rechargeable Battery 3000mah 4 Pack Review

Bower XPB430 AA Rechargeable Battery 3000mah 4 Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The average capacity of four brand-new cells measured less than 1600 mAh at a 1000 mA (0.3C) discharge rate. This is worse than the Tenergy AA cells, and far worse than typical Energizer or Duracell NiMH batteries. This product is representative of the cheap, low capacity non-namebrand batteries that have been flooding the market.

AG3 / LR41 Alkaline Button Cells, 1.5V, 10-Pcs Card Review

AG3 / LR41 Alkaline Button Cells, 1.5V, 10-Pcs Card
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having abunch of small LED light units that are attached to key holders and using 3 AG3 cells each; I began searching for good inexpensive AG3 batterys. I checked EBAY and found some and then priced them on Amazon. Much to my surprise, Amazon was the cheapest. To give a comparison for what Radio Shack was selling for one battery (5.99), you could purchase almost six thousand of these batteries from Amazon. Bottom line, batteries are work fine - its been several months and none have been replaced. (No, I didn't buy thousands of batteries, just a few cards of ten.)

Rayovac Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, D Size, 2-Count Packages (Pack of 3) Review

Rayovac Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, D Size, 2-Count Packages (Pack of 3)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Don't let the hefty size of these Rayovac Rechargeable NiMH Batteries fool you. Each one of the so-called 'D-cell' is simply an AA-cell wrapped inside a larger plastic shell. The capacity is only 2200mAh, which is typical for a NiMH AA cell. So when you use those rechargeable D-cells in your appliances, expect to get only one-quarter of the run time compared to when using alkaline D-cells.
On the positive side, the weight of this rechargeable D-cell (around 2 oz. each) is much less than that of an alkaline D-cell (5 oz). More importantly, using rechargeable batteries instead of disposable will save you money in the long run. So they are still worth considering - as long as you are willing to recharge them frequently.
If longer run time is important, you should look for real D-size rechargeable batteries with much greater capacity, such as the CTA D Size 12000 mAh NiMH. Unfortunately, they are also a lot more expensive than those Rayovac D-cells.
Don't forget you also need a charger that can accept D-cells. The model I recommend is the Rayovac Universal Battery Charger, which can recharge AA/AAA/C/D and 9V batteries. Another valid approach is to get the Sanyo Eneloop Power Pack, which includes 8 AA cells and 4 each of C- and D-shell adapters. That way, you can use the same AA rechargeable cells in appliances that require larger batteries.

I looked all over the place for a battery to go in our thermometer and could never find them. This is the right size so I bought it and was hoping it would work and the price was right. Well, it worked....once. I put the battery in and turned it on and it was fine. Went to use it this weekend and it was dead. The only time it worked was the first day I installed this batter. The thing hardly had any charge at all. What a joke. Save your money.

100 AG13 LR44 L1154 357 A76 BATTERY Review

100 AG13 LR44 L1154 357 A76 BATTERY
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Toys, electronic devices, all sorts of things that need these little 'button' batteries have a supply to last a year or so.
The batteries are just what they claim to be. They're neither "Spectacular" warranting 4 or 5 stars, nor are they "Junk" warranting 1 or 2. They are what they are: functional, and a good buy for any household or office that needs a supply as-needed.
Buying 100 at a time makes them inexpensive; this is a good thing, but unrelated to the product itself.
The vendor was prompt and professional and they arrived on-time ... but again, this is unrelated to reviewing the product.
