(More customer reviews)This is an unsual type of battery. It's a A23. I don't find many uses for this kind of battery, but they are very reliable and cost effective for what i am using them. At work we need it for a doorbell and so far they have lasted a long time. The doorbell gets open a lot and for the price you could not have gotten ones for the same price locally.

It appears that these cells are not sold in stores. I placed an order with Amazon and now I have 50 of them that should last me for at least a year or two.

(More customer reviews)I've always been a little fascinated with the a23 cell - at first it looks like a little tiny 12V battery until you peel away the wrapper and find it is just a stack of 357 cells all piled one atop the next to get to 12V.
That being said, if you need alot of 357 cells in a hurry and are not picky as to brand or chemistry (I've seen alot of stuff inside a23's) you can always buy one of these and uwrap the outside wrapper and have a handfull of 357 cells dirt cheap - the store that sells the A23 probably charges the same price for their 357, not realizing that there are 8 357's inside the A23.
May all your batteries be fully charged and never leak

The A23 battery 2-pack said use by 07-2013. But when using it for my garage remote it only lasted from January 2011 to April 2011. When I purchased it through Amazon it was sold by National Deals. I noticed they no longer offer this particular product, but are still vendors on the Amazon system. I'll probably pay more for my next battery, but I'll buy it locally from a store that I know.

I can't comment on the battery life yet, but will when my ADT Security key fobs die again. The Duracells lasted 6 months before having limited range, and then another 2 months before croaking altogether. The thing that suprised me was that they both died at the same time, in spite of one getting used much more than the other.
Wish there was a longer life equivalent, such as a lithium, but I have been unable to find one.
Edit;
Just hit 10 months and the key fobs are still going strong. Looks like battery life is much better than the Duracell!
