I wouldn't have gone near this with a ten foot pole had I not been behind a woman in scrubs purchasing some in a convenience store. I asked her if it worked, she was very favorable and her doctor/boss was positive about it as well. I went home, did more research, saw that the results ran the gamut, but I saw no one experiencing any severe side effects. I took the plunge.
I have Hashimoto's (hypothyroid) that is under control with medication, but I'd been recently finding myself extremely tired from early afternoon to the end of my work day (and beyond). I started out with half a bottle of 5-hour after lunch and am extremely happy with the result. It's not dramatic - it just gets me from "tired" to "not tired" for the afternoon and early evening. I've experienced none of the side effects that others have, but two things that I'm doing are (1) not drinking on an empty stomach, and (2) only using 1/2 bottle.
I'm by no means downplaying anyone else's experiences - we're all different, our bodies react differently to all sorts of things, but I would definitely recommend to anyone to give it a shot. Above all - listen to your body.

(More customer reviews)I buy products online based solely on reviews of different products. I figured if the majority approve of it should be just fine. About 98% of the time, this is the case for me however, with PepPod this is NOT the case.
PepPod comes in a tablet form and dissolves in your cup of water. The directions on the packaging give you an option to tailor your flavor from strong to strongest. Strong is 16oz of water, Stronger is 8oz and Strongest is 8oz of water. None of this is listed on the online description. According to the reviews and the product description PepPod is not like any other energy drink. You get a burst of energy naturally; no jitters, jittery feeling, racing heartbeats, and a crash after it wear off. It also has 81mg of caffeine and says on the packaging that if you are "sensitive" to caffeine maybe you should consult with your physician.
I made sure to try it when I was tired. I was on my way to my part-time job after already working an 8-hour day and took mine in 10oz to be on the safe side. I was so excited because I have been trying to find something like PepPod. About 30 mins after drinking my PepPod I started feeling sick, nausea, jittery feelings and even more tired than I did before I drink it. I am NOT a caffeine drinker. I do not drink coffee or soda but I wouldn't consider myself sensitive to Caffeine as I have in the past but maybe I am now because I do not drink it now and haven't in years. What I do know is this product made me sick, it was ineffective, and everything it claimed to do it did NOT! To the caffeine drinkers maybe the 81 MG and the other ingredients will not affect you. To the non-caffeine drinkers this will certainly affect you and 81 mg of caffeine is equivalent to a cup of coffee. I will NOT recommend this product to anyone I will be returning it.

I have tried using energy drinks, but all those do is give me a sugar high, with a crash a few hours later. I happened to find information on the Spot On patches on Facebook. (More customer reviews)5-Hour Energy Drink actually does work. If I am exhausted, it does not make me feel great, but it will get me through. It creates enhanced alertness, also seems to have a positive effect on eyesight and helps with tired eyes. It does take most of the "awfulness" out of being overly tired, and can make it possible to do the things I still need to do if the day is not over, even if I wish it were. The first time you take it, everything may seem "brighter" for a few moments (light sources may seem to "pop" slightly more than normal). This passes, and it feels like you were able to take a 90-minute power nap. For me, it lasts a bit less than the full 5 hours, but it is a very welcome boost. There really is no crash for me when it wears off, as advertised, and it does not make me feel "wired", just more alert. Not bad for something that comes in a little bottle for a couple bucks. As with all good things, be sensible, and if you choose to try it, use in moderation. I do not and would not use this every day, but it is nice to know it is there when needed from time to time.
