(More customer reviews)We have had an Avalon for almost 3 years. A few weeks ago I found that my key fob no longer worked. I found out how to open it and got the battery type and ordered a set from Amazon. They arrived quickly. I installed the new one in my fob and it works just fine. About a week later my wife's fob failed. I installed new battery in hers also. Now I am looking forward to three more years of fob operation. In case you have one of these and the battery goes dead here is the procedure for starting your vehicle. Make sure all doors are closed. Touch fob logo side facing start button on the start button. You will hear a beep. Step on the brake and press start button within 5 seconds. Use the key inside the fob to lock/unlock doors. Oh yes the key inside the fob can be used to pry open the fob for battery installation. Do that carefully.

Now, which one is it? I suspect Alkaline, but this is not too reassuring.

(More customer reviews)Arrived quickly and batteries had a 2010 copyright on the sealed package, which means they are fresh. From what I have read these batteries have somewhere between a 7 and 10 year shelf life. Worked fine in my 2007 Toyota Camry Smart Key remote. Dealer wanted $9 for one battery without installation (which is easy and is explained in the owners manual).
